Czech-German Future Fund (CNFB)
The Czech Republic and Germany Endowment Fund supporting bilateral Czech-German cooperation.
- FOR ALL FACULTIES AND COMPONENTS (technical and humanities).
Projects usually last 1-2 years, scholarship stays for 1 school year. Max. amount set only for scholarships. - Co-financing of the project from UWB resources is not mandatory, but recommended.
- Various types of joint project activities (or scholarship stays) from the following areas are supported: Youth and schools - Culture - Discussion forums and professional cooperation - Publications - Restoration of monuments - Social projects and support for minorities - Partnership of municipalities and interest groups -Scholarships - Current theme of 2023: How not to go crazy about it - together we are stronger! - "Let's get started!"
- Applicants: Citizens of the Czech Republic (e.g. student) and legal entities from the Czech Republic (e.g. UWB).
- Official language: Czech and German (dual applications and monitoring).
- Application deadline: 4 times a year for projects (3, 30.6., 30.9., 31.12.), 1 time a year for scholarships (until 31.1. for the following academic year).
PRACTICAL INFORMATION/TIPS
Use at UWB: approx. 5-6 projects per year, so far only CVM/Tandem
Average amount of contribution/subsidy: not specified, for the last 2 years on average approx. 1 million CZK/two-year project (projects for 550,000 CZK to 1,600,000 CZK)
Administrative complexity: not too complicated, bilingual (Czech and Slovak), online application on the CNFB website
Duration of the subsidy process: from application submission to approval approx. 3 months, subsidy paid according to the agreed schedule, usually in several installments (part at the beginning of the project, the rest after submitting the monitoring report), billing is carried out at the end of the project
