INTERREG VI-B, Transnational Cooperation Programme DANUBE (DANUBE)

The European Commission's programme for the period 2021 – 2027 supporting transnational cooperation.

  • Subsidy area: 14 EU countries (CZE, AUT, partly DE, POL, HUN, SVK, SLO, HR, BUL, RUM, Montenegro, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Moldova, Ukraine).
  • Projects for 30 months, recommended budget amount max. 2.5 million EUR/project.
  • Principle of lead partner and reimbursement of eligible costs paid.
  • Amount of subsidy: 80% from the EUSF plus 10% from the MRD of the Czech Republic. Co-financing from UWB resources in the amount of 10%.
  • Applicants: public and private institutions (partners can also be companies)
  • Official language: English
  • Call for applications: 1x per year (the next one will be announced in 09/2023 (ESTIMATE from MRD), deadline approx. 7-8 weeks from the announcement of the call)

PRACTICAL INFORMATION/TIPS

Utilization at UWB: Great potential in terms of possibilities and financial resources, unfortunately little used so far (only 2 implemented projects).

Average subsidy amount: UWB budgets in the previous 3 projects from 160,000 EUR to ca. 280,000 EUR.

Administrative complexity: online JEMS system, administration in English, six-month monitoring period

Duration of the subsidy process: 2-step approval, from application submission to approval ca. 12 months, then it is necessary to wait for other documents (subsidy contracts), receipt of the subsidy thanks to the lead partnership principle ca. a year after submission of the monitoring report and list of expenses
