Joint Programming Initiative “Cultural Heritage and Global Change” (JPICH)
- Voluntary partnership of EU member states and associated countries focused on addressing major societal challenges
- Aiming to coordinate national R&D programs and create joint initiatives to share knowledge and resources
- Cultural heritage defined as including tangible, intangible, cultural, digital, and natural elements
- Main objectives:
- Improving coordination of cultural heritage research at the EU level
- Concentrating and increasing resources for heritage research
- Promoting joint, multidisciplinary approaches
- Raising awareness among citizens and policymakers
- Developing the European research area (ERA) for heritage research and extending it internationally
- Calls: once per year, published on the MŠMT website – Cultural Heritage section
Gifted Youth Support
Support for Gifted Students of Primary and Secondary Schools
- Targeting students with exceptional abilities, including foreign students
- Motivational tools: grade skipping, individual education plans
- Goals:
- Developing new interest-based and informal education activities, especially in STEM
- Enhancing motivation and knowledge beyond standard curricula
- Linking various educational fields and support future top experts
- Connecting with regional networks supporting gifted education
- Calls: annually (Nov–Dec), published on the MŠMT website – Youth section
UNIS Program – Support for Top Athletes at Public Universities
- Helping elite athletes manage academic studies alongside demanding sports commitments
- Providing organizational and support structures for university athletes
- Calls: annually (Oct–Nov), published on the MŠMT website – Sport section
International Cooperation
INTER-EXCELLENCE II
- Supporting international cooperation in R&D and integration of Czech teams into global research networks
- Replacing previous bilateral and multilateral support schemes (e.g., COST CZ, EUPRO II, etc.)
- Subprograms:
- INTER-COST: multilateral basic research with COST countries
- INTER-ACTION: bilateral collaboration with non-EU countries, based on international agreements
- INTER-EUREKA: applied research projects recognized by the EUREKA framework
- Calls: throughout the year, published on the MŠMT website – INTER-EXCELLENCE II section
MOBILITY
- Supporting research mobility based on bilateral international science & technology agreements
- Enabling contact-building and collaboration between Czech and partner-country institutions
- Usually two years in duration; repeated support is limited (max. 3 times in 6 years)
- Current partners: Argentina, France, Germany, Poland, Austria, Slovakia

Czech-Japanese Cooperation (EIG CONCERT Japan)
- nual call based on a Memorandum of Cooperation
- Strengthening multilateral research collaboration between Europe and Japan
- Focusing on addressing shared societal and innovation challenges
