 The fundamental mission of state support in the field of security research, experimental development, and innovation is to acquire and effectively develop innovative knowledge, methods, and technologies that enable the Czech Republic's security system and its relevant partners to face current and future challenges arising from the changing realities of the security environment.

The need to expand and deepen security research is consistently emphasized by central government authorities across numerous strategic and conceptual documents on security policy, which repeatedly identify security research as one of the main opportunities to strengthen national security.
