Program focus

Program supports applied research and innovation in agriculture and forestry. It addresses priorities from key national strategic documents on RDI (Research, Development and Innovation), particularly:

  • RDI Concept of the Ministry of Agriculture 2023+
  • National Policy for RDI 2021+
  • National Priorities for Oriented Research, Experimental Development and Innovation until 2030
  • National RIS3 Strategy (focus on green technologies, bioeconomy, sustainable food sources)
  • Long-term Strategy of the Ministry of Agriculture (towards 2030)

Program objectives

To support innovative agriculture and forestry using advanced methods and technologies in response to strategic needs and challenges. The three key thematic areas are:

  1. Bioeconomy
  2. Smart Agriculture
  3. Global Changes in the Biosphere

These topics respond to current analytical insights into:

  • Agricultural and food sector research
  • Forestry and water management
  • Research and technological trends

Subprograms

Subprogram I – Support for innovative agriculture and forestry via advanced methods and technologies

  • Including a 2025 strategic call for transdisciplinary projects aimed at producing applied knowledge
  • Projects may last up to 6 years

Subprogram II – Support for public policy in the agrarian sector
