You Arrived at the UWB… What is Needed Now?

Register your stay with the Foreign Police

within 30 calendar days (in case your stay exceeds 30 days, unless it´s done by an accommodation provider).

Foreign Police – Department of Residence Agenda Plzeň (Oddělení pobytových agend Plzeň)

Address: Slovanská alej 2046/26, 326 00 Plzeň

Also you can (although you are not obligated to) apply for a certificate of temporary residence for an EU citizen.

This is highly advisable because it will enable you to obtain a „birth certificate number" which you will need for many other administrative procedures during your stay.

The application for a certificate of temporary residence can be filed at the MOI office (Department for Asylum and Migration Policy) – e.g. the MOI Office Plzeň.

Address: Slovanská alej 2046/26, 326 00 Plzeň
Phone: +420 974 320 810

(Note: Due to long waiting times, it is recommended to make an appointment by phone in advance. Feel free to contact the HR Office for further assistance).

Have a medical examination at the UWB doctor.

Open a Czech bank account.

Register your stay

and provide biometric data at a MOI Office (Department for Asylum and Migration Policy - hereinafter referred to as "OAMP") within 3 working days of entering the Czech Republic.
