BASIC INFORMATION
The Human Resources Department (OHR) is one of the departments of the Rector’s Office, part of the Bursar’s Office, which manages and methodically oversees personnel and payroll matters at the University of West Bohemia.
The Human Resources Department defines the personnel strategy in cooperation with the UWB management, monitors trends in human resources (hereinafter referred to as HR) management at universities in the Czech Republic and abroad, proposes improvements and digitalization of HR processes at UWB, and implements legislation into UWB’s internal processes.
The HR Department handles all personnel and payroll matters for UWB employees, including foreign employees. It compiles the necessary statistics and analyses, handles employer reporting to authorities and state administration, and participates in the preparation of UWB annual reports. Within the University of West Bohemia, the OHR cooperates with faculties and other departments in the application of general labor, payroll, tax, and social regulations. It also cooperates with the relevant trade unions operating at the University of West Bohemia.
The HR Department is divided into the Personnel Department and the Payroll Department. The responsibilities of each department are in accordance with the organizational rules of the University of West Bohemia.
