Focus and Conditions of the Centralized Development Program for 2020

Program supporting mutual cooperation among universities – in 2020, the program focused on capacity sharing, creation of networks of universities in the Czech Republic and funded projects targeting the following activities:

a) Development of measures to reduce student dropout rates

b) Digitization of university administrative processes

c) Compliance with requirements set by generally binding legal regulations or directives from public administration authorities regulating the internal organization and systems of universities, including cybersecurity

d) Organization of festivals, exhibitions, showcases, and other exceptional events

e) Strengthening the social responsibility of universities

f) Setting up and implementing measures to support gender balance across all levels of university management, including decision-making positions

g) International cooperation of universities and support for marketing and promotion of universities both in the Czech Republic and abroad, building infrastructure for receiving and supporting foreign students, including training of administrative staff

h) Development of university educational activities by enhancing teaching competences and introducing innovations in learning through active application of recommendations from the European University Association and the European Students’ Union

i) Measures to strengthen academic integrity among students and university employees, including the promotion of ethical research and publishing practices and the prevention of fraud, corruption, and plagiarism

j) Formulation of common quality criteria for related study programs and sharing best practices in their design and implementation

k) Teaching in so-called small, strategically and geopolitically significant study programs/fields

Within the programme, each public university could participate in up to five development projects (this limit did not apply to large projects involving at least 18 public universities).
