FOCUS AND CONDITIONS OF THE CENTRALIZED DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM FOR 2022
Program supporting mutual cooperation of universities – in 2022, the program supported capacity sharing and the creation of networks of universities in the Czech Republic, funding projects focused on the following activities:
- Development of university educational activities delivered through distance learning methods (across all study programs and lifelong learning)
- Evaluation of study programs’ quality, with an emphasis on the professional profile
- Digitalization of university administrative processes and documentation of interim and final study results, electronic support for decision-making by university governing bodies, meetings of collective university bodies, and evidence-based decision-making support for university authorities
- Establishment of an effective system of academic and psychological counselling, including mental health care, for university students and staff, applicants, and, where relevant, other groups (e.g., participants in lifelong learning courses)
- Strengthening ethical principles within the university environment, including measures against discrimination towards diverse groups and sexual harassment; increasing awareness of gender issues among students, staff, and university leadership
- Development of university internationalization with an emphasis on virtual or blended activities, digitalization, and sustainable goals
- Measures for full application of tools for electronic study information exchange, electronic identification, and the digitalization of credit recognition from study mobilities, especially implementing the European Commission initiatives Erasmus Without Paper, European Student Card, EMREX
- Support for international accreditation/evaluation of study programs
- Compliance with requirements set by generally binding legal regulations or guidelines of public administration authorities regulating the internal organization and systems of universities, including cybersecurity
- Organization of festivals, exhibitions, showcases, and other exceptional events
- Support of university activities during the Czech Republic’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union in 2022
- Support of activities contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals
- Teaching in so-called small, strategically and geopolitically significant study programs/fields, their stabilization, and training of teachers to ensure their delivery
Within the programme, each public university could participate in up to five development projects (large-scale projects involving at least 18 public universities were exempt from this limit). At the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen, 15 projects were implemented.
