Focus and Conditions of the Centralized Development Program for 2021

Priority topics in response to the COVID-19 pandemic:

  1. a) Development of university educational activities delivered through distance learning methods (across all study programs and lifelong learning)
  2. b) Digitization of university administrative processes, including admissions, documentationof interim and final study results, and electronic support for decision-making by university bodies and collective university boards
  3. c) Measures to strengthen academic integrity of students and staff with an emphasis on distance education and assessment, including promotion of ethical research and publishing practices, and the prevention of fraud, corruption, and plagiarism
  4. d) Setting up an effective system of study and psychological counselling for students, university employees, applicants, and, where relevant, other groups(e.g., participants of lifelong learning courses)
  5. e) Development of university internationalization

Other priority topics:

  1. f) Compliance with requirements set by generally binding legal regulations or instructions of public administration bodies regulating the internal organization and systems of universities, including cybersecurity
  2. g) Organization of festivals, exhibitions, showcases, and other exceptional events
  3. h) Teaching in so-called small, strategically, and geopolitically significant study programs/fields, their stabilization, and training of teachers to ensure their delivery

In 2021, the University of West Bohemia participated in a total of 10 projects, with UWB acting as the coordinator in two of them (C32 and C33).
