Basic Information
Legal Department:
- prepares drafts of contracts and legal correspondence, checks legal requirements of contracts and addendum to contracts,
- deals with all legal matters; based on individual requests, the department conducts legal analyses of submitted matters, prepares legal opinions and presents suggestions for legal solutions,
- represents UWB before courts and administrative bodies, with the exception specified in Article 24, letter j) of the Organizational Regulations,
- interprets law and other legal regulations and internal regulations of UWB,
- monitors new legislation,
- assists in the creation of internal regulations,
- manages a database of internal regulations and forms,
- ensures, based on individual requests, procedures for public procurement for under-limit and above-limit public contracts for supplies, services and construction works in accordance with the Public Procurement Act,
- provides methodological support to other departments in awarding small-scale public contracts,
- provides consultations to project implementors and other UWB employees in the preparation of procurement and tender process,
- manages the electronic tool Tender Intention Registration System (Systém evidence záměrů - SEZ) and determines the regimes of procurement and tender process based on the documents submitted by other departments,
- processes and registers requests for information under the Act on Free Access to Information,
- ensures the agenda for entering public officials into the Central Register of Notifications under the Act on Conflict of Interest, including related activities.
