Project Duration: 1 February 2024 – 31 December 2028

The aim of the ERDF QUALITY UWB project is to strengthen the infrastructure of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen, enabling a quality increase in the delivery of study programs. Project activities will include the renovation of educational spaces; acquisition of equipment, laboratory instruments, hardware and software, and specialized literature to enhance the quality of UWB’s study programs.

Investments into advanced laboratory and technical equipment together with the renovation (modernization) of outdated educational spaces will enable: an increase in the quality and attractiveness of UWB’s bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs; full realization of the target group’s study potential; increased international competitiveness, etc. High-quality infrastructure aligned with the current educational trends will further support student independence, including the development of practical and collaborative learning. It will strengthen the behavioural competencies of the target group and significantly expand and secure data capacities for both educational and creative activities. Additionally, elements enhancing protection of the target groups against violent attacks will be acquired, thereby significantly improving safety across UWB buildings. Overall, the project delivers major added value to both students and the university as a whole.

The project is financed by the European Union and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports from the Jan Amos Komenský Operational Programme under the 02_23_023 ERDF call for higher education – quality.
