The aim of the Open Science II (OS II) project is to ensure a unified and coordinated infrastructure that respects the specificities of the field and enables effective management, sharing and reuse of research data.

The project supports the building of the National Data Infrastructure (NDI) and the implementation of the EOSC initiative in the Czech Republic. It focuses on the development and establishment of field repositories, FAIRification of data, interoperability, tool development, education and communication. It also involves the wider research community in its activities through an open competition - the so-called mini-projects, thereby contributing to a systemic change in the handling of research data in accordance with the FAIR principles.

The OS II project is co-financed by the European Union and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports from the Jan Amos Comenius Operational Programme under call no. 02_24_030 Open Science II.
